Hello, Central Florida! It is an honor to launch this new digital home for our campaign for Congress. I'm Dan Williams, and I'm running because I believe we need a fundamental rethinking of how government works for people in Florida District 11 and across the country. Too many politicians today are focused on fighting each other, not fighting for us.
This website and this blog are not just about broadcasting my message. They are about creating a two-way conversation that D.C. desperately needs. Every action we take and every policy we champion is built on the core belief that your voice belongs back in Washington.
That is why the most important feature of this campaign is our commitment to Direct Democracy. We are going to build a system that lets you, the voter, have a direct say on the major decisions facing our nation. We will turn technology into a tool for transparency and a means of truly putting the people back in control.
Why a New Kind of Leadership Matters Now
My campaign is centered on a simple, yet powerful principle: modernizing government for a smart future. As a professor and a technologist, I see how far behind D.C. has fallen. We can no longer afford leadership that is stuck in the past; we need to catch up.
Our platform is about results, not rhetoric. We believe in Policies Over Parties, which means solving real problems with evidence, data, and facts. This blog is where we will dive into the details of our plan, from fully funding our public schools and ensuring teachers are paid what they are worth, to securing your digital data from corporate misuse, and putting a definitive end to political corruption by banning members of Congress from trading stocks.
Together, we will bring a new, accountable, and tech-savvy approach to Washington.
