My Origin Story
I recently had the opportunity to sit down with OrlandoVoyager for their "Daily Inspiration" series. It was a chance to look back at the winding road that brought me here—from growing up in Indiana to finding my home in Central Florida.
We talked about my 24+ years as a Cast Member at Disney and my time as a professor at Full Sail University. Teaching has always been my passion, whether it’s helping students master computer programming or helping voters understand a complex bill.
Unmasking the Past
One of the most fun parts of the interview was revisiting my time on TV. Long before I was running for Congress, I was Parthenon on the SyFy reality show Who Wants to Be a Superhero? hosted by the legendary Stan Lee.
Back then, I wore a cape and fought super-villains. Today, the battles are different, but the mission is the same: fighting for truth and justice. Being on that show taught me that real-world courage is just as important as a superpower.
The Power of Information
The core of my conversation with OrlandoVoyager wasn't just about the past; it was about our future.
I explained why I am running for Congress in FL-11: An informed public is the foundation of a healthy democracy. Right now, Washington relies on confusion to keep voters in the dark. I am running to turn the lights on.
This is why I am created my Ask America platform of Direct Democracy! It’s designed to break down complex legislation into plain English, giving YOU the power to read, understand, and vote on the issues that impact your life.
